That’s why we’re creating the Founders Circle — a dedicated community for clean and climate tech entrepreneurs to come together, learn from one another, and share valuable resources.

The Founders Circle is an invitation to help build something new: a tight-nit, founder-led climate tech community for North Carolina. This is not a program - it’s the beginning of a community.
Over the course of three professionally facilitated gatherings this fall (Sept–Nov), a group of early-stage climate tech founders will come together to forge relationships, share what they need most, and co-create the structure of what’s next.
If you’re a founder working on climate and/or environmental solutions, and you want to not just be part of, but help build a local community here in the Triangle—you belong in the Circle.

This group is open to founders and key leaders working in clean tech, climate tech, and sustainability sectors across North Carolina.

Climate tech startups face a unique set of challenges. Whether you’re navigating early-stage fundraising, hiring your first team, or just trying to stay sane, you shouldn’t have to do it alone.
The Founders Circle offers:
A space to connect with other serious, mission-driven founders
A chance to influence what the Triangle’s climate tech ecosystem looks like
An early seat at the table as we shape the next phase of the Carolina Climate initiative

Sessions will run September through November 2025 on Wednesday evenings:
Sept 17, 4-6pm
Oct 8th, 4-6pm
Nov 12, 4-6pm

Sessions will be hosted at central locations to maximize accessibility to founders Triangle-wise. This will include sessions at First Flight Venture Center, Frontier in RTP, and Cary Founded.
